Daily Devotional from 2 Chronicles 11--
Verse 4a
“Thus says the Lord, You shall not go up or fight against your relatives. Return every man to his home, for this thing is from me.”
One of the best things you can do when conflict arises, is to stop and ask God if you should engage in it. Maybe someone offended you, maybe you want to address an injustice, maybe you just don’t see eye to eye on something.
Not every battle is worth fighting.
And only God can tell you which ones are. But you gotta unstrap the sword, kick off the shoes, lower the adrenaline, seek God’s will, and commit to follow it. He might tell you to go ahead (and might even direct you to a healthy way to do so!), or He might tell you to go home. In that case, you have to just forgive and move on. Leave it in God’s hands to bring justice.
