Psalm 31

Daily Devotional from Psalm 31–

Verse 24
“Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!”

I have been in a season of waiting recently. Sometimes it feels like God is taking FOREVER!!!! The waiting feels like its own torture. 

But as we read Scripture, we realize that those who are filled with the Holy Spirit have the fruit of patience. The people of God are those who wait. And not just wait but wait well. It takes incredible strength to wait well. It takes courage. When the world says to move, God says wait. When it feels like an army is closing in and all you want to do is run… God says wait. When you are praying and praying and praying for a miracle…and God says wait…. 

We don’t like waiting. 

But the Lord will continue to ask us to wait— to trust that he will come through, that he will part those waters, that he will provide food and water, that he will bring healing…that he will return in full victory. 

Take courage. Your waiting is forming your faith.
