Come in, wife of Jeroboam. Why do you pretend to be another?
She came to the prophet, wanting a revealed word, yet she came with a concealed identity. Why do we think we can have our cake, and eat it too? Unfortunately, you cannot enjoy the benefit of both options.
For example, you can't spend all your money on a vacation, and then expect the money to be in the bank. And you cannot avoid taxes, and then want better services. You cannot enjoy the freedom of being single, and then expect the security of a marriage. You will have to relinquish something.
If you, like the wife of Jeroboam, desire full disclosure while refusing to be fully disclosed, you will eventually face a crossroads. What matters more to you? His word or your disguise? Being fully known or staying partially hidden? When it comes to truth, you will have to make your choice.
